Definition of Estrogenic

A class of chemicals in our everyday environment that, when absorbed, ingested or consumed — produce “estrogen-like” effects inside the cells, wreaking havoc on all body systems

    • Half life in soil – 77 degrees
    • 315 in red soil
    • 165 days in brown soil
    • 248 days in black soil

LIMITS OF ALLOWABLE ATRAZINE IN WATER

    • 3000ug/kg is maximum allowable limit in drinking water
    • 2013 – 2-3 million people are readily exposed to atrazine in drinking water at 200ng/dl
    • 80% of lakes in Texas have high levels of atrazine
    • 95% of Minnesota bodies of water had high levels of atrazine
    • 5% of all raw water in the US has Atrazine levels more than 4800ug/kg
    • 1% of RAW WATER was at 34,000ug/kg – 170x the amount that completely destroys a frog’s genitals, turning males into females
    • 5% of DRINKING WATER was at 2700ug/kg
    • 1% at 22,700ug/kg – 114x the amount that completely destroys a frogs genitals, turning males into females
    • The European Union completely bans the use of atrazine on their crops

    REPRODUCTIVE ABNORMALITIES

    • 200ng/L has been demonstrated to cause reproductive abnormalities in frogs – absorbing it via skin and the eggs that sit outside the body in water polluted with Atrazine

    ATRAZINE FACTS

    • Atrazine does not break down in water – loves fat, seeks fat
    • Overlap in areas where Atrazine is sprayed heavily and obesity prevalence maps (causal relationship)
    • Rats treated with water and low concentrations of atrazine found:
    • Mitochondrial functions were disrupted and rats developed diabetes

    TRICLOSAN & APEs (Alkylphenols)

    APE’s

    • Surfectants in soap and detergents which cause suds to form
    • They are not present in labels
    • No legal ramifications to show they are in products

    • Benzophenone is Allergen of the year in the US and it is still not banned
    • Both stick to estrogen receptors

PARADOX - IT ACTUALLY CAUSES SKIN CANCER

    • UV light from the sun is capable of fully fusing 4MBC or BP to estrogen receptors
    • The UV light from the sun is essentially apable of GLUING the sunscreen estrogenics to the estrogen receptor
    • This turns the estrogen receptor to ON position far longer than normal, causing longer term damage
    • It would be ironic if BP and 4MBC accelerate aging process as well

    Effects of 4MBC

    • Pituitary effects comparable to hypothyroidism
    • Endometriosis
    • Accumulates in fat

    BPA and BPS

    • BPA does not mean BPS free
    • List of Acronyms to avoid: BPAF, BPB, BPF, BPS
    • These exhibit anti-androgenic effects similar to or greater than BPA (Anti Male Hormone)

    WHAT ARE THEY

  • BPA’s are lipophilic or fat loving – which is true of all estrogenics – the more fat you have the likelier the chance your body will hold onto estrogenics
  • BPA strongly estrogenic in low doses
  • EFFECTS

    • Causes hyperactivity in children
    • BPA accelerates aging by outcompeting natural estrogen

BPA disrupts glucose transport in the bran, causing excess child adiposity. This is odd because the brain’s preferred source of energy is glucose

    EE2 – BIRTH CONTROL

    • 100 million women use birth control
    • 60% of all married women
    • Designed to mimic estrogen and stay in the body longer than natural estrogen

    LEGALITY

    • Legal in United States where minors (fewer than 18 years old) in 20 states can take it
    • New cars have highest BP in air levels

    EXPOSURE

    • Fish exposed to EE2 – gonad deformations
    • Prenatal exposure to BPA may cause children with higher levels of anxiety depression aggression and hyperactivity
    • -biomarker for depression linked to BPA

    DES

    • Diethylslibestrol – known estrogenic (now banned but wasn’t always)
    • used to be prescribed as a drug
    • in utero effects of DES could lead to increased risk of depression in adult life

    GENERAL TAKEAWAYS

    • Eating fast foods for research increased certain estrogenics in the blood by 50% in some cases and over 40% in MOST cases
    • AVOID Fast Food is giving you massive amounts of estrogenics
    • Hydrophobic – estrogen hormones are absorbed most easily via the skin
    • Skin cannot block out bad oils and fats
    • Every cell has a lipid bilayer or coating. Easy for estrogenics to travel throughout the body
    • 2015 study 19 substances to be estrogenic were found in bodies/fat stores of humans: BPA, BPS, triclosan, parabens

    DRINKING ESTROGENICS - WATER

    • Water in plastic that gets hot creates far more estrogenic burden
    • Bottled water leachage
    • Microwaving also creates this issue

    DRINKING ESTROGENICS - MILK

    • MILK – leaching In from plastic milk containers
    • Cow Milk – non organic-17000 ng/l of APE
    • Goat milk – non organic 88,000 ng/l
    • 740,000 ng/l in blood of Holstein cows of ATRAZINE

    EATING ESTROGENICS - AVOID MUSSELS

    • Avoid Mussels
    • When a mussel is exposed to 5 estrogenics even for a short time, it will render them unable to reproduce
    • Phthalates found in mussels
    • EE2 found in mussels
    • BPA found in mussels
    • Atrazine found in mussels

    EFFECTS

    • Intersex changes

    • Changes in glucose metabolism
    • Reduction in overall mussel reproduction (infertility)

    DAIRY AND BEEF

    • If the animal is exposed to estrogenics and you eat the animal, then you absorb all of the estrogenics
    • GRASS FED ONLY
    • NO CORN
    • NO GRAINS
    • NO ANTIBIOTICS

    REMOVING ESTROGENICS FROM YOUR BODY

    • EXERCISE - Removes fat and visceral fat
    • Fasting - Burns excess fat where estrogenics are stores

    THC AND ESTROGENICS

    • THC is stored in rodent GONAD fat at higher concentrations than in other organs such as the liver brain lungs or fatty tissues
    • Natural UNSELECTION of fertile age groups
    • THC found in bodies fat cells 77 days after exposure
    • Fat survives in the body for 1.5 years

    FAT AND ESTROGENICS

    • 40 year study
    • Not causal, but tellin

    INDIA / SUICIDE

    • Within farming profession
    • Over 15000 per year among farmers
    • Skyrocketing chemical spraying
    • Is it just socioeconomic?
    • Farmers cannot compete in the chemical race with natural farming, so they are forced to use chemicals…but at what cost?
    • Atrazine in Delhi water was 3400 ng/l
    • EPA in USA allows 3000ng/l which is liberal
    • EU approves 0
    • Highest sample found was 17,300ng/l
    • Delhi is very farm from crops and farms

    ESTROGENICS AND LOW TESTOSTERONE

    • Many important behaviors connected to Estrogen and Testosterone interplay and the brain cell rearrangement that follows
    • This is called neuroplasticity (PORN)
    • Brain cells have E and T receptors
    • Estrogen and Testosterone are steroid hormones derived from cholesterol
    • Hormones are created in one cell or area and affect a different cell or area
    • Cholesterol is key to bodys ability to create steroid hormones
    • Testosterone has been reducing for a long time…BUT
    • Drastically over the last 40-50 years…all while estrognics have been rampant in our environment
    • 1940’s T levels were DOUBLE where they are now

    Testosterone Affects

  • Sexual desire
  • Bone density
  • Muscle mass
  • Strength
  • Adipose tissue distribution
  • Mood
